Current progress as of Feb11th, 2023

Hey!

Since the last devlog there were some new things I've started, worked on previous things and didn't get around to other things as I wanted to.

With the latter I need to finish asap when I get the chance.

So anyway, here's what's been going on since my last devlog;

General Art;

-Worked more on sprite blinking fixes lately.

-Started a new promo art painting as seen below;

This also serves as a self-reminder for me to complete some other promo art I've started. The others are/were illustrations and aren't as painterly as this one will be.

New additions;

-Added a snowflake cursor

-Also added a cranberry 'click to continue' animation on the textbox. I might make the cranberry a little bigger.

Not only are cranberries Rosie's favorite food, but its a important element of Nix Day as a whole. *insert eye emoji here* lol

You can see me testing how both look in the gif below.

I turned off the snow animation in the background for this test because I kept getting horrible fps hiccups while recording. I'll be altering the animation again to prevent that later.

Programming;

-More coding placeholders and bug fixes as per usual.

Op Animation;

-Nothing much to report on here.

GUI;

-Added both  'Gallery' and 'Character Profile" sections to the main menu.

CGs will be unlocked and added there as the story progresses. Similarly goes for the character profile section where as you learn

about different characters in each ending.

Music;

-Haven't done much work here lately

Final Thoughts;

I planned to finished the blinking sprites per my last devlog but nope. I got caught up with other things so those are still unfinished. I got back to them somewhat recently however.

By the next devlog I'm aiming to FINALLY finish the blinking sprite once and for all. I'll also keep at the CG's, music and get back into the animation sections. Then more importantly, fix the font. The more I demo things, the more apparent the font errors lol. Like I mentioned last year, I made the font myself. However, for whatever reason dashes and now I've noticed numbers aren't showing up. Need to get on that too.

And on another note, in reference to my last devlog, I will be entering the otome jam. I'm excited about it. As I mentioned, I'll make a devlog when it officially starts. I have began drafting some ocs/concept art of the game awhile ago but even moreso lately(which I have posted some on Twitter. The mc is Cecilia whom I posted a few days ago).

So, anyway, thanks for reading my rambling.

Until next time, seeya!
